Honey dew, green tea and mint granita+13
- 1c water
- ¾ sugar
- ¼ c picked mint leaves
- 4 green tea bags
- 1 large honey dew, peeled and seeded
- Midori liquor optional
In a pot combine sugar and water and bring to boil until sugar dissolves, remove from heat and add tea bags and mint, remove after 10 mins and allow to cool.
Puree honey dew and cooled syrup in a blender. If using add Midori to flavour.
Place in a shallow, lined metal dish and place in freezer. After 30 min stir using a fork and continue every 30 mins until granita is frozen ice crystals.
Serve in glasses over vanilla ice cream, garnished with mint leaves.
